In this episode, Certified Bates Method Teacher, Nathan Oxenfeld, speaks about the importance of a morning routine and invites you to follow along with his guided routine consisting of chanting, breathing, and meditating.
The actual follow-along morning meditation routine begins at 16:00 if you want to skip ahead to that experience. The first 16 minutes are spent explaining the mechanics and the purposes of the chants and pranayamas.
1) Opening Chants and Centering
2) Pranayamas - Kapalabhati (Breath of Fire) & Nadi Suddhi (Alternate Nostril Breath)
3) Silent Meditation
4) Closing Chants and Gratitude
If you spend 1 minute in each steps, this morning routine only takes 4 minutes. If you extend the pranayamas and the silent meditation time, you can go for longer. Or, you can follow this with more Yoga practices or more Bates Method practices.
